BAD ORDERS

Purpose - provide current and historical data regarding bad order or shopped cars. The Badorder table contains car numbers, corresponding lease numbers and sublease numbers, dates that cars went Out of Service for repair and the date they returned to service - used for invoicing purposes if you have the Invoicing module. When cars go bad order and are in need of repair, the leasing company or sublessee is to notify you of such occurrences. The Badorder table tracks this notification information and provides on-line access to data such as the contact's name and phone number.

The reason for the bad order or derailment is entered into this table along with shop information, such as the repairing shop location and "estimated release date" - the date the repairs are expected to be completed to the car. Estimated dollar amount of repairs may be entered, and when the car is released from the shop, the Badorder table provides information on where the car is to be sent.

In addition to providing on-line access to bad order information, several useful reports are generated from this table. For example, one report tracks bad order status by date, and a second report provides data on the efficiency with which the leasing companies handle the cars through the shop.
