SUBLEASE

Purpose - gather data previously contained in files or in written summaries and provide on-line access. Sublease number is a part of this file, as well as Subleasing company name, the original quantity of cars assigned to the sublease, the current actual quantity of cars, the start date for the lease - and its end date, and an early cancellation date can be entered if available. Additional information pertinent to subleases is also included, such as mileage penalty miles and rates, information on how the sublease is invoiced (monthly arrears or monthly prepaid)information, mileage penalty miles and a brief field for comments.

SUBLEASE FIELDS:

Sublease Number

12 Characters. This field is required. The User may place any twelve characters in this field to describe a given sublease. A suggested method is to use a 4-6 character code for each subleasing company and a sublease number or sublease year. Consistency is very important. You should also be mindful of the fact that the Sublease Number may be used for sorting in current and future reports.

Sublessee Name

     40 Characters. This is the Company Name corresponding to the Sublease Number.

Orig Qty

     Short Numeric field. This is the original quantity of cars at the commencement of the sublease.

Curr Qty

     Short Numeric field. This is the current quantity of cars in service. While the number of cars in this field is currently maintained by the User, a future enhancement to the system might calculate this value automatically as cars are added to and deleted from PROFILE.

Start Date

     Date field. This is the sublease start or "commencement date" of the subject sublease.

End Date

     Date field. This is the sublease end or "termination date" of the subject sublease.

Subls. Rental Rate

     Dollar field. This is the monthly rate for the sublease.

Early Cancel DT

     Date field. This is a date for early cancellation of the lease, if applicable. One of the lease reports will keep you advised of these dates.

B/O Credit

     8 Characters. Many subleases specify an item for bad order credit.

MI. Penalty

     Numeric field. Enter any Mileage Penalty from your sublease here.

MI. Penalty Rate

     Dollar field. Enter any Mileage Penalty Rate from your sublease here.

Comments

     40 Characters. This is a general comment field for information specific to the subject lease.
